About Katerina Korshun
Katerina Korshun is a visionary fiber artist, raised in Belarus and now based in Italy, where she lives with her husband. For more than 15 years she has been at the forefront of contemporary felting, transforming a traditional craft into a modern art form.
After studying art and fashion design, she discovered the magic of wool in 2009 upon moving to Prague. From there, her career flourished—she founded the School of Contemporary Felt, taught thousands of students worldwide, and became a leading voice in the international felting movement. Her mastery of fiber earned her invitations to exhibit, lecture, and collaborate across Europe, where her works are celebrated for their sensitivity and innovation.
Today, Katerina devotes herself to creating textile pictures—immersive, poetic works that echo nature’s rhythms of shadow and light, growth and renewal. Her medium is wool, silk, viscose, and plant fibers, but her artistry lies in listening to their hidden voices and transforming them into luminous, painterly narratives.
Her creations are more than visual art—they are tactile experiences, resonant with texture and emotion. With each piece, Katerina proves that fibers carry a soul of their own, waiting to be discovered. Her mission is to inspire others to unlock that same dialogue between hand, heart, and material—revealing the timeless magic of textiles.
